Our History

Creativity, Curiosity, Motivation, Persistence, Service and Support

Back in 1983 when I was thirteen years old, my Dad brought home a Commodore 64 computer.  With the included manual and a few issues of Compute! Magazine, I was on my way to creating my first programs.  Somewhere along the line we picked up a much more detailed manual that helped me create much more powerful programs.  I spent several beautiful summer days inside, in front of the computer monitor, figuring out how to make my code more flexible and reusable.

In high school I took a lot of art classes.  I would have continued in this direction after graduation had I not been so afraid to become a 'starving artist'.  Really.  That is what scared me away.  But years later I am able to vicariously live in this world being married to a graphic designer and painter.  She is a wonderfully talented and educated resource who is happy to critique my images and page layouts whenever I need it.

In 1996 I began working in the computer industry professionally.  I gained experience in networking, PCs, servers, databases, operating systems, and application support as a LAN Administrator.  Later this expanded into database design and administration, application interface design, system architecture and development, and Web Content Management Systems (WCMS, or CMS).

Today the drive to create better programs, that look and work really great, continues to push me forward.  I am able to use my creativity and exercise both the left and right sides of my brain everyday.  I have gotten to the point where anything I need to make, I make.  If I have not done it yet, I learn it.  Anything I need to learn is just a few Google searches away.  I have never been afraid to ask questions, which helps me to better understand our customers' needs.

I came up with the name PillarLogic, LLC when looking for a synonym for 'trustworthy' or 'reliable'.  I landed upon the word pillar, which has a lot of good meanings behind it.  I truly wish to create and maintain the best customer relationships, and provide the best possible service, support and value.

Please contact us and let us give you a free consultation and estimate for any of your computer hardware and software needs.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Ken Hanson - owner of PillarLogic, LLC
